Telnet for iMac
Telnet is a text based system of user commands using TCP/IP protocols to
access a remote computer. To access computers on Telnet you need to have
permission, this means that you may require a username and password to
authenticate.
A popular Telnet application for your old classic iMac is BetterTelnet,
which is an extention of NCSA Telnet. It can be retrieved at
www.cstone.net/~rbraun/mac/telnet/. Usually you access Telnet sites by
clicking links to them in your web browser. This should open up the
Telnet application to the site.
